Driving range and charging

Standard E-Tron GTs can squeeze between 431 and 488 kilometers of driving range from the battery when it is tested in a test cycle for globally harmonized light commercial vehicles, while RS models cover between 429 and 472 kilometers.

At the moment, Audi says the AC charge is set to 11 kW and the battery will be removed 5 to 80 percent charge in 9.5 hours.

It is also said that a charging capacity of 22 kW will be available after launch shorten this time to 5.25 hours.

At the moment, faster charging with 270 kW direct current will shorten this time again only 22 minutes.

The electric motors can generate 0.3g even with regenerative braking while recovering 265 kW.

performance

Okay, now the fun stuff: strength and acceleration times.

The all-wheel drive E-Tron GT is rated as standard 350 kW and 630 Nm. In individual cases, however, the front engine can produce 175 kW in “extreme driving situations”, while the rear engine can produce 320 kW.

For the RS, the front and rear motors have a nominal output of 175 kW / 335 kW, but together have a nominal output of 175 kW / 335 kW 440 kW / 830 Nm.

During the output referred to as “overboost” by Audi, the combined output of the RS increases to 475 kW, while the standard car increases the combined output to 390 kW.

What this equates to for the standard E-Tron GT is 0-100 km / h in 4.1 seconds, 0-200 km / h in 15.5 seconds and a top speed of 245 km / h.

In the meantime, the RS model completes the same sprints in 3.3 and 11.8 seconds and reaches 250 km / h.

Dynamically, both variants use a double wishbone suspension and a limited slip differential that sits in the rear engine unit.

However, the RS E-Tron GT is based on a fully variable differential, which is optional on standard cars.

Externally, the body of the E-Tron GT is shaped around an aluminum and steel architecture to achieve a low drag coefficient of 0.24.

Standard rolling stock for regular E-Tron GT models are 19-inch wheels, while the RS wraps 20-inch wheels with tires that are optimized for reduced rolling resistance.

A flat underbody and rear diffuser help split the air, while the rear spoiler, front radiator and brake lines also work actively. The bumper-side inlets also direct air around the front wheels.
