A Study Report Reveals “Dogecoin-Love” of Turkish People

  • A report states, Turkish people are obsessed with cryptocurrencies, specifically for Dogecoin.

Dogecoin mania

A cryptocurrency educational platform, CryptoManiaks released a report on worldwide crypto searches. In which many countries marked their places in the crypto search list. Netherland topped the list as its 8.2% of population is starving for crypto related information. Turkey came at the second place in crypto searches with 5.5% of its population with 4.7 million of serarches.

It must be noted that CryptoManiaks is an authoritative crypto education platform that is dedicated to newcomers and cryptocurrency beginners.

Turkey specifically seemed interested in the memecoin, Dogecoin. As the country topped the list of most searched Dogecoin related information. Even the current crypto winter does not freeze crypto love of many crypto enthusiasts. Instead of not-so-good market conditions people are still passionate about cryptocurrencies.

The study report was based on the overall number of searches for a particular set of popular cryptocurrencies into a percentage of the total population of a country. The study intended to calculate the percentage of locals searching every month.

Turkey may be at second position in crypto searches but topped the list when it was about “meme coin.” The country recorded around 812,000 monthly volumes specifically for Dogecoin. It is approximately double of Ethereum (ETH) which is its third most searched cryptocurrency.

Not only Turkey, the well-known personality, Tesla head, Elon Musk also showed his support to Dogecoin back in time. And added some topping in its popularity. Dogecoin gained worldwide popularity and became the desired crypto of Turkish people.

Besides Dogecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and BNB raised the curiosity of many people, as they also attracted the worldwide population. Germany, Canada, and The Czech Republic, respectively, came at the third, fourth and fifth position.

Strange! But the United States and the United Kingdom, which were assumed as the lead players in the world wide crypto industry, neither ranked in the top-10 list. The reason here is that the study was done on the basis of the number of searches equivalent to their population sizes.

Not among the top-10 list, but under top-15 the US ranked at 15th with 1.9% and the UK ranked 12th with 2.6% of the population searching for crypto related information. The overall market may be performing in red, still many institutions seemed curious about the crypto industry and pouring millions in crypto related projects.
