After a difficult start to the week, Bitcoin made up for some of the losses on Monday. It’s currently three percent higher than yesterday, and it sold for around $ 48,500. Can it build on this dynamic?
The US Federal Reserve is expected to announce today whether it will hike rates in the face of rising inflation. The stock market also performed poorly yesterday in the run-up to the Fed’s imminent decision, with large tech stocks in particular falling. The Dow was down 0.30 percent, the S&P 500 was down 0.74 percent, and the Nasdaq was down 1.14 percent.
The rest of the cryptocurrency market has also recovered somewhat. Ethereum grew about two percent on the last day and is now just under $ 3,900.
Other major cryptocurrencies are also on the rise this morning, with Solana, Cardano and XRP all appreciating in value over the past 24 hours. Dogecoin is the big winner this morning though. Elon Musk announced yesterday that Tesla will soon be accepting payments in Dogecoin, if only for goods and not cars, with the price of the memecoin up another 15 percent this morning.
