Bitcoin’s price is down about two percent since yesterday morning, although it still holds above $ 61,000.
Big news yesterday was the Federal Reserve’s announcement that it plans to end its unprecedented $ 120 billion monthly bond purchases.
Commentators argue that QE has allegedly increased “riskier” financial assets like cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin’s price fell about five percent during the announcement, though an almost immediate rebound has led analysts to believe the move was already priced in.
Elsewhere, Ethereum has also fallen around two percent after hitting new all-time highs yesterday.
The big winners of the last 24 hours are Solana with an increase of two percent and Avalanche (AVAX) with an increase of nine percent. Both are up around 20 percent in the past seven days. Although it fell slightly this morning, the combined value of all cryptocurrencies is now greater than that of the ten largest banks in the world.
