Ethereum Classic (ETC) Price Predictions: Where Will the Ethereum Rival Go Next?

ether (CCC:ETH USD) starts the week with a sprint, similar to other altcoins. The second largest crypto has hit new all-time highs, including the recent milestone of surpassing $3,000. Ethereum and its classic counterpart are similar, but don’t confuse them. Differing in 2016 after a hack revealed security vulnerabilities in the original blockchain, each crypto offers different pros and cons. The main difference is in safety vs. efficiency; Ethereum builds on improving the efficiency of the original blockchain, while Ethereum Classic focuses on keeping its smart contracts secure.

Ethereum obviously has greater investor support. However, ETC is still a well-known crypto game with a lot of its own support. A huge catalyst for ETC is coming along greyscale Going all-in on the coin. Ethereum Classic reports that the crypto trust has a stake of over 161,000 ETC.

Ethereum Classic (ETC) price predictions are rising

Even though it’s currently less popular with investors than its flashier sibling, Ethereum Classic is still a reliable crypto game. And with newfound institutional support, Ethereum Classic (ETC) price predictions are hot, but not necessarily optimistic. Let’s take a look:

• DigitalCoinPrice predicts that ETC will end 2021 with some seriously big gains. Their forecast for the crypto is above $75 by December.
• The Economy Forecast Agency is more optimistic with a forecast of over $132 by the end of the year. While bullish on short-term gains, they see ETC fizzle out in the long-term. They predict that it will eventually return to below $100 levels in the coming years.
• Conversely, Gov Capital forecasts relatively modest earnings for ETC this year but has a high long-term outlook. They are pricing ETC at just over $50 through the end of 2021, but around $120 in the coming years.
