Former Revolut executive Deirdre Halligan joins Algorand Foundation

Deirdre Halligan, former head of global affairs and wealth and transactions at Revolut, has been with the Algorand Foundation, which is expanding in Dublin.

It has come to light that the Singapore-based Algorand Foundation has three full-time employees in Dublin and a board member; its mission is to promote the Algorand blockchain.

Deirdre Halligan was previously the only woman on the executive team of digital bank Revolut. Revolut has more than 100 million customers worldwide. Deirdre Halligan opted to leave Revolut shortly after Revolut co-founder and CEO Nik Storonsky recently criticized the UK’s FCA for being slow to approve banking licenses.
