Gayatri Sreelatha, a Malayali who represented India in the Miss Cosmos International pageant held in Orlando, Florida, USA from July 4 to 9, won the title of Miss Cosmos International 2022.
7 contestants, including Gayatri, were selected for the final round of the Miss Cosmos International contest representing the countries of the world and various American states. She was selected as Miss Cosmos 2022 at the grand finale held in America on July 9th evening.
Crown Garlands LLC, an organization officially recognized by the US President, has been organizing this competition for years.
Gayatri, who completed her schooling at New Indian Model School, Dubai, and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Suratkal, is working as a senior manager at Tata Motors. An accomplished dancer and Kathakali artiste, Gayatri has performed in various dance programs in India and abroad. She has already acted in music albums and a few short films. She is the daughter of Satish Kumar, an engineer in Dubai, and Dr. Sreelatha. Her brother Gopikrishnan is an engineering student.
Gayatri was selected as Miss Cosmos India in a pageant held in Mumbai last August. She was crowned Miss Cosmos India and selected for the international pageant from the 150 contestants who made it to the finals. There were over 1,000 participants from all over India. An organization called The International Glamor Projects (TIGP) organized the preliminary competitions in India last August. The panel headed by famous Bollywood star and former Miss India Celina Jaitley decided the verdict.
