KSE and the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment have announced that Ball Arena will now allow full capacity crowds for their NHL and NBA teams starting in the next round of their respective playoffs. For the Colorado Avalanche, that will be the third round. The Avs are up 2-0 in their second round series against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Health measures are still in place as all fans 3 years old and up are required to wear a face mask and complete a health assessment prior to entry. The arena is also expected to meet new air circulation requirements directed by the NHL. Ball Arena also has a vaccination clinic in the parking lot.
It should be noted that this is not a 100% capacity crowd, as the NHL still requires social distancing between the player benches and the fans, so the areas behind the benches will still be tarped off and the glass behind removed. However, 17,400 fans (95%) is still enough to make quite a lot of noise.
See you all at Ball Arena!
