TERRA DI SLACK BELCHER, 47, from Charleston passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
She was born on September 1, 1973 to Timothy Slack and Debra Frazier King. Before Terra, maternal grandparents, Kenneth & Elaine Frazier, died; Paternal grandfather, Samuel Slack; and Marilyn Slack, who was a second mother to her.
Terra was the life of the party and lit the room as she entered. She was her mother’s hippie child, her father’s wild child, and the best mom. She loved to dance and go to a good party. She was the office manager at Sun Construction and a graduate of DuPont High School, 1992 class.
She is survived by her children; Ashley Meador of Nitro, Jacob (Taylor) Meador of Charleston, Chloe and Olivia Belcher of Campbells Creek; Mother, Debbie (Howard) King of Nitro; Father Tim (Jessica) Slack of Shrewsbury; Husband Stanley Belcher of Campbells Creek; Paternal grandmother, Jane Slack; Grandchildren, Bentley Clark and Adalyn Sigmon, both from Nitro, and Xzavier Ryan Meador from Charleston; Brothers Jonathan (Angela) Slack from Chesapeake, Ryan (Sara) King from Pratt and adoptive brother Anton (Sue) Turner from Germany; special aunt, Jan (Scott) Eddick; many other special aunts and uncles; and a variety of friends.
On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 3 p.m., a celebration of Terra’s life will be celebrated at the Stevens & Grass Funeral Home in Malden. Evangelist Cliff Thaxton will officiate and broadcast live on the Stevens & Grass Funeral Home’s Facebook page. A tour of the tour takes place in the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service on Wednesday.
