A donation of $ 12,000 has accompanied Litecoin inventor Charlie Lee, who is leaving Coinbase to work full-time on his creation.
After Lee announced he was stepping down from Coinbase duties to devote himself to Litecoin development, his Litecoin foundation received a donation of 438 LTC – around $ 12,000 at Tuesday’s prices.
The donor, known by his handle JoeyBTC, answered after a Twitter request.
you are welcome! Keep it up ?

Litecoin declined from $ 35 a coin in circulation when Bitcoin itself broke, with Lee’s bullish announcement having little impact on investor opinion.
Today is my last day at @coinbase! I will miss working with you all.
I will now shift my focus to Litecoin. To the moon! ? pic.twitter.com/Ys9dZwtTFO

The move marks the first major event for the Litecoin community since the SegWit activation resulted in a huge price spike in May.
While Litecoin was the star of the altcoin markets long ago in terms of cryptocurrency price movement in 2017, it has consistently outperformed other top 10 investments and resisted downtrends.
The responses to Lee on Twitter were therefore keen to predict a new uptrend in a market currently dominated by Ethereum (ETH).
Last week, Trezor became the first Litecoin hardware wallet to support SegWit.
