Louis Vuitton unveils Yayoi Kusama collection | British Vogue

LOUIS VUITTON has finally fully unveiled its Yayoi Kusama collection ahead of its launch tomorrow, and we have them here to show you. VIEW THE COLLECTION IN FULL Bold, playful and not for the faint of heart, the range shows off the artist’s distinctive stains – which cover every item, from bags to clothes. The collection is the company’s most significant artist collaboration since working with Steven Sprouse in 2001 to create his now iconic graffiti bags. The highlights of the Kusama collection include a yellow low-waisted dress and a ruffled skirt; shortened trousers in red and black; classic trench coats that are given a surreal touch with the artist’s vivid spots; and silk scarves – which offer a more subtle way to shop into the collection. SEE THE COLLECTION HERE Marc Jacobs, Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, met 83-year-old Kusama for the first time in 2006 and was entranced by her “endless energy” and her ability to create a “world that never ends” through her work. to create. The first part of the collaboration will be followed by a second collection, which will be launched on August 24th in Selfridges.
