“This year, Ripple has improved its gross margins by double digits and has successfully expanded sales and market share. Ripple SKUs have been introduced in Walmart and convenience stores and expanded into direct-to-consumer, school and club channels,” he said Laura Flanagan, Chief Executive Officer at Ripple Foods.

The Ripple Leadership Team is focused on partnering with retailers to expand sales across the herbal portfolio, accelerate the pace with consumers behind meaningful insights and communication, and further advance Ripple’s productivity initiatives to meet the company’s margin targets. Additionally, new team resources in Marketing and Research and Development will continue to develop Ripple’s innovation and technology pipeline to drive future growth.

Newcomers Laura Flanagan, Executive Director, David Cooper, CFO, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Chief Technology Officer and Scott Lee, VP of Marketing, has a background in CPG marketing, technical development and financial management including preparing and executing M&A and IPO transactions.

“We expect strong year-over-year sales growth and double-digit margin improvement,” he said David Cooper, Chief Financial Officer at Ripple Foods. “Ripple sales grew 30% through May this year and we continue to see strong growth in the pace of our core products.”

Laura Flanagan joined Ripple in October as Chief Executive Officer. Since joining Ripple, Flanagan has focused the company on its strategic growth priorities, including helping launch Ripple’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce business. She is focused on accelerating the company’s revenue growth through expanded sales, innovation and marketing while driving margin growth through streamlined operations and supply chains.

“Ripple Foods has tremendous growth opportunities and my experience of scaling and optimizing the food and beverage businesses fits perfectly with the agenda ahead. I was focused on our mission to create foods that are good for people and good for the planet “he told Flanagan. “We are building a great team to take Ripple’s growth to the next level. We plan to aggressively expand through new sales and new products, and expand our customer base through awareness and testing.”

Prior to Ripple, Flanagan was CEO of Foster Farms, one of the brand’s largest poultry producers in The United Stateswhere it achieved the highest growth and market share in years. Flanagan was also previously President of the Snacks division at ConAgra Foods and held executive positions at PepsiCo. Flanagan earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and currently serves on the boards of directors of two publicly traded companies: Callaway Golf, the leading golf equipment brand, and Core-Mark International, the largest distributor of food and broadband convenience products in the United States -Store channel.

Each new member of the executive team brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise that is critical to growing Ripple Foods’ footprint.

  • David Cooper, Chief Finance Officer – Cooper has served as CFO of ten companies, including Ripple, and has floated and closed six companies $ 24 billion of financial transactions. His experience as a food company includes senior roles at Premier Nutrition, PowerBar, Del Monte Fresh Produce and Dole Food Company. David has an MBA in Finance from NYUand a BA in Economics from Yale University.
  • Manoj KumarDr. Kumar, Chief Technology Officer – Dr. Kumar brings over 22 years of innovation and R&D expertise in food ingredients and industrial biotechnology. Dr. Kumar’s scientific knowledge includes biotechnological topics in the areas of food ingredients, vegetable proteins, natural sweeteners, natural preservatives, food and crop protection, enzymes, biochemicals, fermentation, sugar production based on cellulosic biomass for bio-based sustainable materials and bioethanol production. He has hired multinational commercial, academic and business teams around the world to drive innovative top-line growth programs. Before joining Ripple, Dr. Kumar Director of Food Ingredients Development in Science and Technology at DSM Food Specialties.
  • Scott Lee, VP of Marketing – Lee has over 17 years of marketing and general management experience in the CPG food and beverage industry, delivering top and bottom line results for emerging businesses, big and small. He started his career at General Mills, working for several well-known brands such as Cheerios and Yoplait, as well as the emerging brands Annie’s and Cascadian Farm. He later moved to WhiteWave Foods and directed marketing for Earthbound Farm. Most recently, Lee led both marketing and innovation teams within Danone North America for Silk and Horizon Organic. Lee received an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua school of business.

While Ripple builds a leadership team with industry veterans, the entire company remains mission-oriented and growth-oriented.
