Sandra Lee Ripple of Trappe, MD, went home to the Lord on January 15, 2023, while in the care of Talbot Hospice. Born April 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Edward Duvall and Anna Lee Duvall. She attended Easton High School until 1962 and was a life-long resident of Trappe.
Aside from being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she was also quite the business lady. Alongside her late first husband, Graham, she owned and operated Sullivan’s Market in Trappe. They then opened Bramble’s Waterfowl Cleaning Service in 1976 which is still thriving today and operated by her son. She had a second chance at love and met her husband John in 1984. They have been married for 37 years.
She loved anything that involved being in the sun or on the water. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, dancing, cruising on their boat (particularly if dinner was involved) and vacationing with her family, especially in the Outer Banks where she visited with her husband and granddaughter many times. She loved her dog, Camm, but most of all, she loved anything that involved laughing and being with her friends and family. Dedicated and full of love and life is how we always described her.
Sandy is survived by her husband, John Ripple; her son, Woody Bramble (Judy); her granddaughter, Alissa Bramble; her step-grandchildren, Brandon Van Schaik (Allison) and Jacob Van Schaik (Angelica); her sister, Kathy Langrell (Mark); her aunt, Phyllis Bailey; her niece, Sara Bowen (Brookie); nephew, Jason Duvall (Wendy); nephew, Jamie Duvall, as well as many extended family members and long-time friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna Lee Duvall; first husband, Graham Bramble; sister, Deborah Duvall; and brother, Jimmy Duvall.
A funeral service will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1210 S. Washington St. in Easton on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11 am The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 200 S.
