SANTA DASH SUCCESS FOR CARISBROOKE COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO Raised £ 500 FOR WIGHT BRAINY BUNCH – Iceland Echo

Carisbrooke College students and staff attended a Santa Dash on the last day of the semester before Christmas and raised £ 500 for charity.

On Friday, December 17th, 100 students ages 7-11, along with staff, completed a 2km Santa Dash from the school to Carisbrooke Castle and back.

All students made a £ 5 donation to the Wight Brainy Bunch charity to participate and were rewarded with Christmas hats to wear for the run.

“The students were an absolute delight and it was obvious how much fun they were having!

“I’m really proud of how willing you are to support local charities, and this is important to us.”

“As always, the students were a joy and they made Carisbrooke College proud.

“Many thanks to all students who took part and many thanks to the staff who organized and supported the event.”

The Wight Brainy Bunch was founded by Mark Grimes and his wife Kathryn of the Isle of Wight after Mark was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February 2015.
