The Audi e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback will be the brand’s first electric offerings for India
Audi India is ready to begin its electric attack, and the company will launch its two electric SUVs in a row. The German auto giant has posted the first teaser for the e-tron in India, which will arrive in the country in the next few weeks. The e-tron Sportback will join the e-tron. Both models are expected to arrive in mid-2021. Audi had already presented the e-tron in India in 2019 and plans to introduce the electric offer in 2020. However, the pandemic delayed the arrival of the models.

Both the Audi e-tron and the e-tron Sportback have the same basics, but the latter gets the coupe-like roof slope and a redesigned rear profile. Both SUVs use the same powertrain. Internationally, the e-Tron is available in three versions – 50, 55 and the S with all-wheel drive Quattro in the entire range. It remains to be seen whether Audi will bring all three variants or a single fully loaded version of the luxury electric SUV.
In the 55 Quattro variant, the e-tron and the e-tron Sportback are equipped with two electric motors that develop 265 kW or 355 hp and a maximum torque of 561 Nm. In boost mode, the output increases to 300 kW or 408 hp and 664 Nm. The sprint from 0-100 km / h can be achieved in 6.6 seconds, while the top speed is 200 km / h. The e-tron and the Audi e-tron Sportback use a 95 kWh battery that offers a range of around 452 km on a single charge and can be fully charged in eight and a half hours with a normal charger.
