The polka dot artist Yayoi Kusama is organizing a free exhibition on the topic of monochrome until March 6, 2021 in S’pore – Mothership.SG

In 2017, Singaporeans flocked to the National Gallery to see the colorful art exhibition “Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow” by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.

This year, another solo exhibition by Kusama will take place in Singapore.

Monochrome themes

“Recent Paintings” is her first solo exhibition in Singapore since 2017 “Life is the Heart of a Rainbow”.

Unlike the colorful 2017 exhibition, however, the Yayoi Kusama: Latest Paintings exhibition will showcase:

  • 15 monochrome paintings from her series “My Eternal Soul” from the years 2019 to 2020.
  • “Clouds”, a sculpture installation from 2019 with highly polished stainless steel shapes.

Free admission

All of the works in this exhibition will be shown in Southeast Asia for the first time.

Entry to this special exhibition is also free until March 6, 2021.
