A video has been circulating on social media of a group of teenagers trapped in a restaurant after allegedly trying to eat and escape – leaving viewers hanging.
A video posted on Reddit’s Public Freakout forum shows a large group of teenagers having a meltdown trying to escape from a restaurant. You can see employees holding the door closed because the group allegedly had dinner and stormed.
A staff member directed someone to call the police. A couple of kids are on one side of the door and the rest of the group is stuck in it. One teenager repeatedly yells, “I’m getting sick,” and another yells, “Let me out.”
Throughout the video, the teens are screaming, trying to overwhelm the staff holding the door closed.
Some viewers speculated that the incident occurred in Manchester, England, as “the accent is quite specific”.
Many viewers thought the children got what they deserve.
“What a bunch of bastard kids,” commented one user.
“You sounded so privileged,” said another.
“Well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions,” wrote one user.
Many said they hoped the teenagers would be arrested, or at least fined, but many doubted the police would go that far.
Viewers wanted an update on the situation, but no follow-up videos or updates have been released yet.
To make matters worse, the teens appear to have tried to leave without paying during the pandemic. All workers in the video can be seen wearing face masks.
Reddit is full of annoying dine-and-dash stories, only a few of which have a satisfactory ending. It’s almost unbelievable how hard people try not to have to pay their bills. Reddit’s “Tales From Your Server” thread tells stories of people climbing fences, hiding bills, and dramatic car chases out the door. But the Dine and Dashers occasionally get what they deserve.
